As the PRIME world continues to evolve and expand, we’ve brought aboard some extremely talented folks to strengthen the team. And this recent addition is no different. PRIME’s freshest copywriter may be the new kid on the block. But when it comes to crafting refined prose, Alec Tebben has got it (the copywrite stuff).
Keep It Local
Growing up in Maple Grove, Alec is familiar with the community and its welcoming vibe. And he is delighted to cultivate those native connections.
In his new role, Alec will write multi-platform print and digital copy for clients across a range of industries. “I’m excited to work at a company that is based here and partners with local businesses,” he said.
Building Blocks
As a kid, Alec hoped he’d grow up to be a construction engineer of sorts, except with more colorful building blocks. “I loved LEGO®s,” he said, “so I wanted to be a LEGO set designer.”
Instead, he opted to work with words and use them to assemble thoughtful sentences, paragraphs, and stories. Alec attended Taylor University, a small, private college in Upland, Indiana.
“The campus is surrounded by cornfields, but it has a really close-knit community,” he added. And it was there that Alec earned a Bachelor of Science in professional writing with a minor in creative writing.
Using His Words
Prior to joining the PRIME Team, he worked part-time as a product flow specialist at Best Buy and as a freelancer for Baker Publishing Group. “I wrote press releases and interview questions for upcoming books and pulled excerpts from them to be used in magazines and other media,” Alec explained.
At PRIME, he expects to use and develop his skills on a variety of writing and creative projects, both for PRIME and its clients.
“I think my creativity, curiosity, and attention to detail will help me in my role as a copywriter,” he said. “I really love using words to accomplish different things, and I look forward to writing in new mediums and growing my skills.”
And he’s anxious to get started. “I’m excited to be part of a tight-knit, collaborative team that works hard and has fun,” he added.
Simple Pleasures
His career took Alec down a writing path, but he still enjoys the simple things in his free time.
“I still love collecting LEGO sets,” he admitted. “I like to watch shows and movies. Star Wars is my favorite.”
Alec is a big Minnesota Wild fan and enjoys venturing into the great outdoors, visiting parks to hit the trails for a walk or a hike.
And even outside the office, Alec still scratches the writing itch. “I do a little bit of fiction writing as well,” he added.
Ready, Set, LEGO
Though he’s not designing those colorful, interlocking plastic blocks, Alec has built a solid foundation for his career as a copywriter. And as the newest addition to PRIME, he is already proving he’s got the copywrite stuff to fit in, working on projects to help clients create their blueprint for success.
