The Prime Team is growing once again! We’re thrilled to welcome Dakota Looman to the brand-new role of Community Marketing’s Media Sales Coordinator. Keep reading to meet Dakota and learn more about our newest team member.
Meet Dakota
Dakota grew up in the small town of Watkins, Minnesota, which is about 30 minutes south of St. Cloud. After high school, he attended St. Cloud State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in marketing. While in school, he worked at Stickney Hill Dairy as an administrative and marketing assistant for nearly three years.
After graduation, he began his career as an administrative assistant at Jacobs Financial, where he worked for nine months. “Then,” said Dakota, “I was lucky to land this role at Prime Advertising + Design.”
Skills for a new role
Dakota brings a plethora of skills to the new position, including experience with customer relationship management (CRM) software, Quickbooks®, Hootsuite®, and Constant Contact®. He’s familiar with a variety of communication and social media platforms.
“I’m excited to apply and use the methods I learned during college,” he said. “I enjoy challenges and am looking forward to learning everything PRIME does and how we do it, including new skills and methods.”
In his role, Dakota assists in all aspects of community marketing, including accounting, client communication, task management, analytics, and much more.
“Dakota’s passion for marketing, high attention to detail, ability to multitask, and an overall positive nature make him the perfect fit for the position,” said Katie Roberts, PRIME’s Media Sales Director.

Love for the great outdoors
Outside of work, Dakota enjoys binge-watching TV shows or spending time outdoors—hiking and exploring new places and parks.
“I love spending summers at my parents’ cabin,” he reflected, “soaking up the sun on a hot day on the lake.” The “cabin” is a well-appointed camper with a deck and loft at the El Rancho Mañana Campground in Richmond, Minnesota, where they’ve summered at the same site for 14 years.
Dakota enjoys DIY projects, trying new restaurants and breweries, attending live events, and cooking. As a big animal lover, he hopes to someday own a dog.
He also loves to travel and shared his lofty goal of visiting every National Park in the United States. So far, he’s been to Yellowstone twice, and is planning to visit Glacier National Park and Canada’s Banff National Park in the next year. He’d also like to travel to Australia, the Maldives, and New Zealand.
“I have traveled to Alpine, Wyoming—about an hour Southwest of Jackson Hole—to visit family six times in my lifetime,” he said. “Typically, the drive there takes about eighteen hours. I’ve never flown; I have always driven.”
Always Driven
Those words can also be used to describe Dakota’s personality—his constant effort to make a positive difference for clients and coworkers. He sees himself as a friendly go-getter who enjoys a challenge.
“I am excited to work with clients to best understand their needs,” he said.
