When asked what he’s most looking forward to in his new role at PRIME, Jordan Holt answered quickly and enthusiastically. “I think I’m most excited about the growth and learning,” he said. And now, as one of the team’s newest Social Media Content Specialists, Jordan is ready to grow and learn. He is PRIMEd to succeed – and eager to help our clients do the same.
HOW IT STARTED
Born and raised in Franklin, Kentucky, Jordan had dreams of playing professional basketball or football when he grew up. “I wanted to be in the NBA and the NFL,” he said, with a confidence that lends conviction to his aspiration. “I was supposed to be Steph Curry, but he beat me to it.”
So, Jordan took a different route, studying Communications at the University of Kentucky. He was leaning toward a career in public relations and advertising.
“I was in ISC, which is Integrated Strategic Communications,” he explained. “But during that time, I was just ready to graduate.” Instead, Jordan focused on broader communication studies to get his degree and start working.
He previously worked for two nonprofits, spending his college summers with the Boys & Girls Club of Franklin-Simpson and working as a PE Specialist with Banyan Community after moving to Minneapolis. Jordan also earned his real estate license, “which I still have through Edina Realty,” he added.
HOW IT’S GOING
As part of the PRIME Content Team, Jordan will use his creative energy to develop engaging copy for a multitude of clients, helping to tell their stories across numerous platforms. And his resourcefulness will come in handy with in-house projects as well as enhancing PRIME’s social presence.
He’s upbeat and self-assured and ready to dive in. Jordan said his confidence can seem like arrogance, but “to me, I’m just me,” he explained. “I’ve been through a lot, so I feel this way for a reason.”
And his natural positivity helps drive his imagination and his potential, which is a bonus for PRIME and its clients.
FUN, FILM, AND FURRY FRIENDS
Away from the office, Jordan enjoys spending time with his girlfriend and three rabbits. “The black one is Nelly. The spotted one is Lola. And the one with the blue eyes, that’s Sue. She’s the pretty one,” he said. “She already knows she’s pretty.”
Additionally, this sports fan and film aficionado can often be found watching one or the other.
“I watch a lot of basketball, football, it doesn’t matter,” he assured. From the hardwood to the gridiron, Jordan’s fandom runs the gamut. He enjoys watching and rooting for Kentucky basketball, the Miami Heat, and the Pittsburgh Steelers. And he’ll watch baseball, he said, but “I’m a Dodgers fan. So, if the Dodgers aren’t playing, I’m not watching anybody else.”
Fair enough.
Jordan also loves movies, paying close attention to shots, camera angles, themes, lighting, and other elements to really dissect what he sees. “I don’t see movies like everyone else,” he admitted.
EXCITED TO GET STARTED
From Kentucky to Minnesota, Jordan has learned and discovered a lot. He’s ready for more – and to let his positivity work its magic. “I woke up. I’m here. It’s obviously for a reason,” he said.
Jordan is happy to be here and PRIMEd to succeed. And we’re excited to have him aboard to watch him grow and help our clients with their social media and content needs.
