On a recent client visit to Blaine Kennels, I was reminded of Cheers. I wasn’t necessarily thinking about Sam Malone or a bar, but the words to that theme song: “Where Everybody Knows Your Name.” The very title sums up the team and vibe around Blaine Kennels.
They are DOG LOVERS. All caps. They know every dog’s name and every dog’s story. Walking around the facility with owner Thomas Carroll felt more like he was introducing me to his friends rather than dogs in his Doggy Day Care program.
Resident mascot Finn would play the role of Norm. Finn is amazing. He is missing one eye and was born with underdeveloped hips, which have required two major surgeries. He hops around like a rabbit when he is trying to run. He participates in some training classes and helps calm new guests. I swear I could almost hear a group of dogs bark, “FINN!” when he walked into the room.
The motto of Blaine Kennels, “We’re not fancy, we’re family,” is obviously true. This team knows and loves their dogs.
